Our Process & Our Story
Flour Has a Memory.
We Keep It Intact.
Aastha Nutri Foods exists for one reason: to mill flour the way our grandparents ate it — organic grain, ground slow on stone, sprouted in small batches. This page is the whole story, stone by stone.

Why We Started
The Atta We Grew Up On Had Quietly Disappeared
Somewhere between our grandmothers' kitchens and the supermarket shelf, atta changed. Roller mills made it faster and cheaper — and stripped out the germ, the bran and most of what made a roti worth eating. The flour got whiter, the shelf life got longer, and the nutrition quietly left the packet.
Aastha Nutri Foods began as a family's stubborn refusal to accept that trade. We went back to the two things industrial milling abandoned: stone-grinding, because slow and cool keeps the whole grain whole, and sprouting, because a woken seed feeds you better than a dormant one.
We're still small, and that's deliberate. Small batches mean the flour that reaches you was grain a few days ago — not months ago in a warehouse.
Grain to Packet
How We Mill, Step by Step
-
01
Source from Organic Farms
Every grain comes from certified organic farms we know by name — no pesticides in the field, fair prices for the farmer. We buy whole, unpolished grain because that's the only kind worth milling.
-
02
Clean & Sort by Hand and Sieve
The grain is washed, sun-dried and sorted — stones out, broken kernels out, anything less than whole out. What goes between our stones is exactly what belongs in your kitchen, nothing else.
-
03
Soak & Sprout (Sprouted Range)
For our sprouted line, the grain is soaked and left to sprout in small, monitored batches. Sprouting breaks down phytic acid and wakes up enzymes — the grain literally starts digesting itself, so your body doesn't have to work as hard. Then it's gently dried to lock that goodness in.

Mill Slow, on Granite Stone
The heart of everything. Two granite stones turn at low speed — slow enough that the flour never heats past hand-warm. No heat means the germ, its oils, the fibre and the flavour all survive. This is the step industrial mills skip, and the reason our flour tastes like the grain it came from.

Pack Fresh, Ship Fast
Flour goes from stone to sealed packet within hours, and from packet to courier within 72. No warehouse months, no preservatives to make that possible — freshness is the preservative.
What We Stand On
Four Things We Won't Compromise
One-Ingredient Honesty
The label says wheat, the packet contains wheat. No improvers, no fillers, no fine print.
Slow Over Fast
Every shortcut in milling costs nutrition. We take none. Stones turn slowly; that's the point.
Farmers as Partners
We buy directly from organic growers at fair prices. Good flour starts with a farmer who isn't squeezed.
Small Batches, Always
We'd rather sell out than stockpile. Fresh-milled or not milled — there's no third option here.
A Note from the Family
"Aastha Means Faith.
That's Not an Accident."
We named the company Aastha — faith — because that's what a packet of flour actually is. You can't see nutrition. You trust that whoever milled it didn't cut the corner you'd never find out about.
So the rule at our mill is simple: we only sell what we feed our own children. The same stones, the same batches, the same packets. If a batch doesn't meet that bar, it doesn't ship.
Thank you for giving a small mill your kitchen's most important ingredient. We don't take it lightly.
